Open-Sourcing Support
Audience: Novice to Intermediate Computer Users
Presenter(s): David Tenser
Length: 45m

Overview

SUMO is a community-powered support project for Firefox, which puts it in a unique position because of the incredible diversity of Firefox's user-base. We're building something that hasn't really been tried before: support for an open source product rivaling the popularity of many closed source products.

This proposed session would cover the different ways people can get involved with the SUMO project. Volunteering with SUMO can be as simple as correcting a typo in a Knowledge Base article, or as challenging as organizing a full-day event around Firefox support. There's a way for everyone to help out with the SUMO project and this session would provide some entry points.
